Finding the right school in your new area

BC offers many types of schools for K-12 learning which are primarily based on where their funding is being received from. (1) Private/Independent (0 funding from the government), (2) Semi Private (received a small subsidy from the provincial government), (3) Public and Home-Schooling (fully funded by the provincial government).  We are simplifying one small aspect of the differences.  Further information can be found at:  About Education in BC

K-12 learning is primarily offered in English however, there are French Immersion where they will offer French as the primary language spoken and learned.   Each option will offer the other’s language as a second language and when children reach grade 8-12, there are often other secondary language options such as Spanish, Italian and Croatian to name a few.
